Art - House, Documentary, Philosophy

This film - not just a narrator Zizek, is not even just a legend and screening of moves Zizek, familiar from his books. This is more - kinofilosofiya in pure philosophy, finally spoke the same language of cinema. Of course, before that there were attempts to bring philosophy and cinema, but they pushed it into one, then another. I am confident that this film - just the third, Zizek is presented here not merely as the author of the concept, but rather as a voice-image, becoming flush with kinoobrazami and enters into dialogue with them.
The film is divided into three parts. The first works with the procedures of structuring reality, especially through the Trinity "It - I - Super-I", the second reveals the theme of fantasy and sexuality, and the third considers the problem of reality and illusion.
Parts of equal size, but different in intellectual glow. The first is more like a throwing ideas at the philosophical constellation and maintenance and domestication of discourse. The second looks more like the work of the "whipping boy", which put strikes, work out methods, exploring types of reactions from the work done with the experiments. Third - is work with the boundary of illusion and reality, when all the jokes left out, because at stake is the very reality ...
Slavoj Zizek (b. 1949) - a leading philosopher, psychoanalyst, writer and researcher, humanitarian culture of 90-00-ies. He lives in Ljubljana, Slovenia. A brilliant critic of many myths of our time, a major figure in media and the superstar, an icon of intellectuals, as permanent members of popular TV talk shows, and numerous scientific conferences. He started his 70 th interpreter and popularizer of the heritage of Jacques Lacan, gradually turning into the most famous interpreter of his sometimes very esoteric texts. Uniquely combined with Marxist Read Hegel. Extremely prolific. The last decade in numerous books and speeches are increasingly drawn to the experience of the left and socialism. He has a rare gift to untie complicated philosophical knots with masskulta artifacts and phenomena of everyday life. Often illustrates certain psychoanalytic situation, analyzing the works of cinema. Rare text Zizek goes without any analysis of some films.
"Cinema - the last of the perverted arts. It does not give you what you want. It tells how to desire '- Slavoj Zizek speaks. In the documentary film Zizek offers its own, bright, witty, passionate and unexpected analysis of favorite films, combining philosophy and psychoanalysis. Director puts Zizek in carefully recreated scenery known bands - a bedroom of the "Exorcist" space from "Solaris", a town of Bodega Bay "Bird" ... And inside these films is a philosopher in our imagination marvelous metaphor. For example, standing in the garden scenery recreated from "Blue Velvet" Lynch, he notices how disgusting tulips: "This is a blatant invitation to insects: please fuck me!".
The sexual subtext - Zizek's favorite subject: the film "Persona" contains the most erotic scene of world cinema, and "The Piano Teacher" Haneke - the most depressed. And, for example, "Eyes Wide Shut" - is an example of "complete impotence of the male imagination": "Sexuality - this is not always just me and my partner. Must be somebody else, imaginary, who allows me to have sex. "
Directed by Sophie Fiennes - the daughter of photographer Mark Fiennes and novelist and artist Gini Fiennes, sister of famous British actors Ralph and Joseph Fiennes.
